Set the cap on a single claim, the rate per kilometre, the most a book on an order may be discounted, the stock alert level, the working hours a manager sees the team in, and when an unended day closes.

Settings holds the figures SalesYatra enforces on everybody else. They change with the business, not with the product: the mileage rate moves with the price of fuel, and the stock alert gets tuned once you have watched a season of orders go out. Each figure is shown with a sentence saying what it does.

Change a setting

Change the figure

Open Settings and change the figure or time you need.

Save

Select Save settings. The button stays greyed out until something has changed, and the page says "Everything here is already saved" when nothing has.

Changes take effect on the next claim, order, dispatch or map anybody opens. After a save, the page shows the figures as stored, so what you see is what is in force.

Most a single claim may be

The cap is per claim line, not per day, because a day is a list of claims. A per-kilometre journey that works out above the cap is refused too, and the rep is asked to split it across the days it actually covers. See Daily Expenses.

A per-kilometre claim is priced at the rate in force when it is filed. Claims already filed keep the rate they were filed at, so a new rate never changes old claims.

Most a book may be discounted

Every book on an order carries its own discount, and the order can add an additional discount on top of them. This is the most the two together may come to for any one book. The order form on the portal and in the app says the figure in force under Additional discount, marks a discount that goes past it, and keeps the save buttons off until it is brought down. The server refuses an order past it too, whatever sent it.

A change applies to orders saved after it. Orders already sent for approval keep their discounts. A draft saved under a higher cap is refused when it is submitted, until its discounts are brought down to the new one. Raising an order from a quotation is held to the same figure. The box can't be left empty, since an empty box would mean no discount at all; type 0 if that is what you mean. See How an order is priced.

Tell us when a title falls below

When a title's warehouse shelf falls below this level, every administrator gets a notification in the app and an email. It fires once, on the fall, not on every dispatch while the title stays low. Restocking above the level arms it again. The line under the figure names who it goes to. See Stock.

Working hours

A manager can see where their team is on Team on the road inside these hours, and not outside them. The distance covered during the day stays visible either way, because that is history, not a position. The hours are India's time.

Close the day on its own at

Everyone starts their day on the app with a photo of the odometer before they can check in at a school, and can end it with a second photo. A day nobody ends closes on its own at this time, with no closing reading, and check-ins stay shut until the next morning. Nobody can start a day after it. The time is India's.

It can't be earlier than the end of working hours, because that would close a day someone is still meant to be working. A change applies to days started after it: a day already under way keeps the closing time it started with. See Start and end your day.
