Signing in
Accept your invitation, choose a password, sign in on the web or the app, and reset a password you have forgotten.
SalesYatra is invitation-only, and there is no sign-up page. An administrator adds you as an employee, and SalesYatra emails you a link to choose your own password. Nobody else ever sees or chooses it, the administrator included.
Accept your invitation
Open the email
Look for an email from SalesYatra with the subject SalesYatra: set up your login. Select Set my password. If the button doesn't work, the email also shows the link as plain text to open instead.
Choose your password
The Choose your password screen opens. Enter a New password of at least 8 characters, and type it again under Confirm password. Both entries must match.
Save and go in
Select Save password and sign in. SalesYatra signs you in and takes you straight to your part of it. See Where you land.
The link works once and expires 24 hours after it was sent. If it has expired, you can send yourself a new one or ask your administrator to resend the invitation.
- Open salesyatra.com and select Sign in.
- Enter your Email and Password.
- Select Sign in.
If either is wrong, the page says Email or password is incorrect. Check both and try again.
Where you land
After you sign in, SalesYatra opens the part that belongs to your role.
| Your role | Where SalesYatra opens |
|---|---|
| Sales Executive, Assistant Territory Manager, Area Sales Manager, Deputy General Manager, National Sales Head, Chief Executive Officer | Field portal → Dashboard |
| Dispatch (Warehouse) | Field portal → Dispatch |
| Accounts (Billing), Accountant (read-only) | Accounts → Home |
| Administrator | Admin panel → Dashboard |
If you open a link to a part your role can't use, such as a rep following a link into the admin panel, SalesYatra takes you to your own landing page instead. Roles and permissions lists what each role can open.
Forgot your password
Ask for a link
On the sign-in screen, select Forgot password?. Enter your email and select Email me a reset link.
Open the email
The screen says: If that address belongs to a SalesYatra account, a reset link is on its way. It expires in 24 hours. Look for SalesYatra: reset your password and select Choose a new password.
Choose the new password
Enter it twice on the Choose your password screen and select Save password and sign in.
The screen gives the same answer whether or not the address has an account, so nobody can use it to find out who works at the company. A link is only sent to an active employee who already has a login. Until you use the link, your current password keeps working, so an email you didn't ask for is safe to ignore.
The app has the same Forgot password? link on its sign-in screen.
If a link has expired
A set-up or reset link works once, for 24 hours. Opening it again, or after that, shows one of these:
- On the sign-in page: That link has expired or was already used. Select Send yourself a new one.
- On the password screen: This link has expired. Select Send me a new link, or Back to sign in if you already have a password.
Both take you to the reset screen to ask for a fresh link. A reset link also finishes setting up an account whose invitation was never used.
Sign out
- On the web, select the sign-out button next to your name at the foot of the sidebar. On a narrow screen, open the menu first.
- In the app, tap Sign out on the Home tab and confirm.
When an account is deactivated
When someone leaves, the administrator clears Active (can log in and appears in pickers) on their record rather than deleting it. Their history stays in SalesYatra, and their login stops working at once, on the web and in the app.
No reset link is sent to a deactivated employee, and the administrator can't send them an invitation until they are made active again. If you are sent back to the sign-in page or the public salesyatra.com page each time you sign in, your account may have been deactivated. Ask your administrator.
